UGAMUNC 32 Plenary Sessions *

UGAMUNC 32 is excited to offer a modified edition of the plenary sessions.

The plenary session involves the coming together of delegations to debate and vote on the most pressing resolutions. The chairs will be in charge of picking the top 3 resolutions from each committee they feel should be included in the “resolution packet.” The packet will be distributed to all delegates/delegations the night before the session. The delegates of the same nation from different committees will form one delegation, with one voice. Sunday morning (the last day) participants will gather with other committees for a session to be conducted on the packet’s contents. Each resolution will take approximately 7 - 10 speakers with strict yield time, however there will be time for Points of Inquiry. POIs are to be done after all those that wished to speak on the resolution have left the speaker’s list. After this, we enter a vote on the resolution at hand. If it passes, it has been accepted by the United Nations. Ideally we will debate all 3 resolutions from each committee. Crisis committees will complete Session VI as normal during this time.

Committees will be divided for the plenary sessions as follows:

Room 101 — DISEC, UNHRC, ILO, WHO, CSW

Room 102 — ECOFIN, FAO, Admin

Room 171 — SOCHUM, Legal, African Union, UNSC

Room 150 — SPECPOL, League of Arab States, CELAC
